She Remembers, He Forgets is a 2015 film in Hong Kong. It broadcast as one of the two opening films at the 2015 Hong Kong Asian Film Festival. It directed by Wong Sau Ping Adam that in his film, the dream is one of the vital genres.
The plot is about Pang ShingWa(Pang), Yu FungChi(Yu) and So BokMan(So) that they were best friends in the secondary school. They all have a dream that Pang wants to be an interior designer; Yu wants to travel around the world, and So wants to be a pilot to take Yu travel around the world in the future.
This film shows one of the ideologies of Hong Kong that HK is not a dreaming city, people need to take reality into account. HK is a society doesn’t encourage youngers to pursue the dream or even the reality makes youngers give up the dream. In the film, the teacher asked the student what is their dream and wrote a future planning. However, in the planning form, students needed to consider the social needs, social competitive and returns. All these shows the reality in HK that dream is not easy to achieve. Moreover, the teacher represents HK parents that the dream is not important and the essential thing is earning money.
Furthermore, there are the much collective memory and symbolic meaning hinder in the film. First, Tam YukYing Helen acts as the vice principal that she was the host of Hong Kong(HK) children’s show for since the 80s. Sister Tam Yuk Ying (譚玉瑛姐姐) represent Hong Kong people’s childhood memory. Second, Kai Tak Airport was another collective memory that represents the old HK that not yet took over by the China. The airport also has a symbolic meaning that it replaced by the new international airport just like the old HK no longer exist as it returned to China. Third, the theme song ‘We almost Fly (差一點我們會飛)’ represented the situation of HK. People here had come over many crisis and created the economy miracle that made HK become an international city. The dream of HK broken as the environment and situation become worse than before.

These lyrics gave a decent ending for the film. So passed away, his dream was to be a pilot to take Yu up to the sky, he couldn’t continue his dream, but his best friends can. When they were young they almost fly. However, they gave up their dream due to the reality.
. In the last scene of the movie, Yu and Pang are holding a plane and fly it to the sky. In the future, people may remember their dream and chase for it.

Dear Wing Yu, The best part of your writing should be paragraph about "collective memory" (para. 4). There is a balance between analysis and description of the film. Other parts are mostly descriptive. The story and details are reiterated. A small but significant error is in the first paragraph where you mention that "dream" film is a genre which is not true. Perhaps you are talking about inspirational films.
